Overview
Stafford County Public Schools, in partnership with Fredericksburg City Public Schools, are pleased to announce the upcoming 2nd annual I’m Determined Conference for disability awareness. I’m Determined is a state-directed project funded by the Virginia Department of Education focused on providing direct instruction, models, and opportunities to practice skills associated with self-determined behavior for students with disabilities and those who support them. The conference is free and open to the public for all children with disabilities who reside in Stafford County or Fredericksburg City and their parents, guardians, caregivers, and families.
Registration
Registration is open for families residing in Stafford County or Fredericksburg City.
Conference Highlights
- Engaging Keynote Speakers – Celebrate individual triumphs and the transformative power of the I’m Determined movement.
- Interactive Breakout Sessions – Customize your conference experience with best practices presented by school and community leaders, panel discussions to share insights, and guided exercises to inspire new ideas. New and improved offerings ensure a unique experience for families returning from the inaugural event in 2023.
- Community Resources Expo – Connect directly with businesses and organizations in our region who are committed to inclusive practices and supporting our population.
